Speak Up Press, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization started in March 1999, benefits youth by giving teens a voice and supporting adolescent literacy. Speak Up Press believes that teen literacy blossoms with the power of authentic peer voices.
To support our mission, Speak Up Press publishes the literary journal, Speak Up, featuring the original fiction, nonfiction, poetry, plays, photography, and artwork of teens (13-19 years old).
Speak Up accepts submissions from teen writers and artists around the world.

Speak Up Press’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is the guiding force behind Speak Up. Speak Up’s TAB reads all submissions and decides on the content for Speak Up. The TAB works hard to represent the authentic voices of a diverse, multi-cultural group of teens.
